I'm not sure why were getting different numbers. I just ran it in Hornady 4DOF and they pretty much matched. Another huge thing to consider is how the rifle is set up. Stock geometry and material can make a big difference in recoil at your shoulder. Also, a very effective brake will take half or more of that recoil out. J.G. and I both built 300 norma's around running a 250 class bullet and they are nice to shoot. Granted they weigh twice as much, but that's only one of the factors. The first time ^^He shot my rifle, that he built, he said "The recoil is surprising." I said "You mean the lack of recoil?" Yes Granted, it's a 22 pound rifle, that's 4'6" long. Well over 80 gr of powder and 250 gr A-tips. An absolute pleasure to shoot. I told SCdogman in a text that my 7mm-08 A.I. with suppressor I can spot my own hits at any distance. I shoot it every week. 6.5 Creedmoor and 6 Creedmoor can be the same way, of course. It's all in the weight of the rifle and what muzzle device it has. My barrel is a Bartlein #3 with spiral Helix flutes. It's a hunter/shooter. Not bad to carry around, and will tolerate 5 consecutive shots.

How about I had a zero offset of 1.8” Now it makes sense. Glad i don’t use it for wind. Didn't I say check your inputs?

it’s the bullet not the cartridge. the 156 eol is at .347 g7
that ‘s in the ballpark of the 180 7mm from berger and hornady. those are around .350 ish g7
light recoil and down range energy to 800 yards is the goal. i can push a 7mm with almost 80 grains of powder and almost touch the next county

Chad's Speedmoor load (6.5 CM) makes ~2800-2820 with the 143 ELD-X in my 24" Tikka CTR (post speed-up). At 800, that's 1796 fps and 1024 ft/lbs. Very little recoil, even without the suppressor. Rifle weighs 8.5 bare. At Jason's range, it shot 10-15 rounds before needing to cool.

Looking to build “my last” rifle. Looking for something that will provide 1800 fps and 1000 ft-lb at 800 yards.
Using a recoil calculator, nothing beats a 6.5 creed with the 156 berger or the 147 eldm.
Im looking for a 9 lb rifle. In another rifle, 42 grains of h4250 gives me 2735fps with the 156 berger.
I have a 28 nosler and a 7 prc, but looking for a light recoiling rifle.
Thoughts?
I'm curious why the velocity and energy parameters at 800 yds.

Using the calculator i used for the others, the 143 at 2820 drops to 1800 around 763 yards. If the loaded grains is under 44, recoil would be 13.1 ft-lbs or less.

1800 fps is the quoted minimum expansion for most cup and core bullets. at 7500 ft altitude, that 1800 fps is 2000 fps which gives me a safety margin.

I find the 7 prc suppressed really not kicking much more than the medium calibers posted here
What happen if you put some 162’s in one? Still no contest to a 6cm also suppressed, push 6 is cheaper to shoot volume with
