We have several axis in velvet at this time but I would estimate a good number of bucks would go 28 to 35 inches. Not wanting to book just meat hunts at this time. We can accommodate up to 4 hunters at a time.
I can vouch for this! Taken yesterday!! Excellent facilities super nice guides. And they definitely have the game. In the last 18 hours have seen 30+ axis, 12-15 mature bucks both velvet and hard horned. No less than 4 mature black bucks and several other species of native and exotic game animals. Someone told me he read a couple of post that were negative to the hunt opportunity we offer. First I’m sorry that if you hunted with us you had a bad experience and I had hoped that you found a better opportunity elsewhere. We never advertised that this is a canned hunt, although I’m not sure what that is. Is that where you pick out your animal prior to hunting and sit by the gate waiting for it to be released. We offer an opportunity to take a $3000 plus animal for $1000, with a bow, and yes it is a difficult way to hunt. There isn’t even a kill fee which I’ve paid on top of the cost to hunt an other ranches. This is 300 acres and there is always a good chance that you will see a trophy animal. Nobody guaranteed you a kill or even a shot. As far as being put into a blind, I take it that other ranches, maybe even your ranch is void of blinds. We try to put people in spots where animal frequent, period. Hunting out of a blind is always discussed before a hunt is booked, so there isn’t a surprise here. As far a payment upon arrival, some folks must live in a perfect world where booking a commercial flight is payable at the end of your flight depending on whether you got a window seat or snacks. Maybe when you booked your Airb&b vacation you had the option of not paying based on whether or not you got a view. It’s unfortunate that there will always be some folks that will never be happy or that you can’t please, regardless of the situation.
