Is that the year they changed the dimensions of a piece of plywood? It's all about weight and MPG. Heck 10 years from now the beds may be 3' long.

I haven’t owned a diesel in 30 years that got better MPG than my 12v Cummings…. Dullly

Since 1979 I’ve owned 14 trucks 1/2 ton to 1 ton. Only 2 were not full sized 8’ beds, not including 2 ‘83 Toyota long bed trucks. They are still out there, for those of us that use them like a truck.

Out of these few, what one would you buy: RAM Warlock, RAM Rebel or Ford Tremor? Basically the Raptor or RHO wannabe trim lines for Ford and RAM.

Better question what feature do you want?

electric rear locker and limited slip front? Well that’s Rebel and tremor… one is steel, other is aluminum. One has a longer term proven power plant, and one is more expensive than the other.

Been wondering about that and how the newer ones last. Mine is a 2010 with about 180, 000 miles, 95% trouble free.

The newer ones aren’t holding up that well?

Tremor hands down, but delete that terrible yellow stripe they have.

The front locker is a game changer for those that use it.

That said, the standard FX4 is perfectly adequate off road

I know guys who love their RAM 1/2 tons but I’m not a fan of coil springs in the rear.

For your purposes a Rebel will be fine

That’s what I have but no leather interior. It’s the TSS I think. I love it.

I have 2017 with 5.7. I am going to drive it until it dies. I hate to think of having to replace it. Toyota has had a lot of problems with the new engines that I am not sure they have fixed. If I had confidence they fixed the problems I would go with a Tundra. Bought the TSS for the BFGs. I would prefer 18" wheels but they came with some crappy street tires. I really wanted a PRO but not at MSRP or MSRP+. SR5 is not leather but like the Clazzio custom covers. [Linked Image]

I'm still fighting with 3 truck lots over a drive out price.

They don't care for my budget, and I don't care for their OTD price.

I'm too picky on trim and options

Got to have my messaging seats

Looked at the base Land CRuiser MEH !!!

The new 4-Runners are showing up but I can't do an SR5

the 6.2 LT Trail Boss are drying up and priced high.

keep lookin

Stay away from 6.2, three friends had them blow last year…. Nothing like a $120k Escalade going boom with 6k on it

Been reported several times that Dodge/Jeep/Ram/Chrysler might have huge discounts coming etc. Their sales have kinda sucked lately.

Sounds like they have a poo Picasso where they make the engines and transmissions - you know the really expensive parts to repair should your Jeep go south....

I have to refrain on that message or the troller will get me banned grin

Hey Buzz...have you drove the LandCruiser, not the 1958 version but the LandCruiser/LandCruiser (yeah, Toyota did that...so dumb)? My question...is that hybrid anemic like the prior 4runners or is it sporty? I've started the search for the Braptor replacement and just really coming up empty...I really like this thing, if it just wasn't so damn noisy on the highway.

I'm not crazy about the new GX once I saw it in person. I think the 4runner and LandCruiser is a better looking vehicle. confused2

That is bizarre. And the third paragraph has absolutely nothing to do with the main point of the memo. That's a chitty manager, pun intended. 'Sounds like at least one employee there is ready for a rubber room.

On a slightly less disgusting level, the manager of our Houston service center thought TP was being used too much, so, whenever he left for sales calls, etc., he locked it up. bang That's a real morale builder, let me tell you. I was responsible for promoting him to that position. That's when I fully realized that there is such a thing as the Peter Principle. Live and learn.
