Has anyone heard of the American Heritage Sporting Club?I'm thinking about joining but I can't really find any information on the place. I'm supposed to go look at it in a couple days. It's located around Menard.

I was planning to join the hunting club and wanted to see if anyone has recently been there or even joined the club and has an update. I’ve seen a lot of negative posts about Scott Huggins, which has me concerned. Some of the complaint websites about AHSC and AMR that were mentioned in other threads seem to have been taken down, which also raises questions.
The lease being offered states 4500 acres split between two different ranches about three miles apart, under the name Clear Creek Springs Ranch. However, when I looked up that name, I found a Facebook business page and a website, but both only mention 1000 acres—and according to those sources, hunting is not allowed on that property. I also wanted to point out that the YouTube channel shows prices offered back in December 2024 to show basic family $3000, full family $5000, and shared friends and family $5500. Now in February 2025 it shows basic family $3500, full family $5000, and shared friends and family $6500. So prices have changed quite a bit in two months.
That leaves the missing 3500 acres, which I assume must be on the second ranch nearby and is where the hunting actually takes place. Unless the original property was recently acquired and its hunting policies have since changed. I noticed older Facebook posts from 2017 mentioning yoga retreats and even an Airbnb listing, but there haven’t been any updates since then. When I clicked the Airbnb link, it just took me to the main Airbnb homepage, suggesting that the listing has been removed. What’s concerning is that I was told the cabins are for club members only, yet they were previously listed for non-members on Airbnb. This raises questions about whether policies have actually changed or if information is being presented differently now.
It seems possible that this was a previous business before AHSC got involved—maybe they purchased or leased it to turn it into a hunting club and just haven’t updated the online information. But this is all just based on my own research and assumptions, so I can’t say for sure. I do see that the AHSC YouTube page was recently created August 27,2024 and only has two videos. One posted September 19, 2024 and another December 11, 2024. So this tells me it’s a newer company marketing itself.
I’d really like to hear from people who are already club members to get their honest opinion before making a decision. I don’t want to risk getting scammed like others have claimed. If anyone has firsthand experience or recent updates, I’d really appreciate the insight.
