I’m looking for suggestions on a good 9mm hollow point round. I have a CZ P07 and I don’t want to spend a bunch of money trying several kinds. Trying to shorten my list for a hollow point that will feed reliably.
Thanks for the help!

Well... that's a wide open question. Most modern handguns feed most modern ammo. Beyond that it depends on your application and tolerance for the cost of ammo. I don't think you can go far wrong with the hollow point offerings from Speer, Hornady and Federal.
"Group think" is not thinking. It is the lack of independent thought. It is a cancer of the mind.

Hornady Critical Duty or Critical Defense, depending on barrel length.

I carry the 124 XTP, usually in the American Gunner or Custom load.
The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.

I get the 50 packs of 124/147 grain HSTs. I get same thing in 165 grain 40 S&W and 230 grain 45 ACP the 50 packs are where the value is at.

Critical Defense
A 9mm might expand, but a 45 will not contract.

The only defense 9X19 I have I didn't build myself is Hornady Critical Defense but I would buy Speer Gold Dot the next time if it ever happens.
Pass the gravy.

The only defense 9X19 I have I didn't build myself is Hornady Critical Defense but I would buy Speer Gold Dot the next time if it ever happens. The Critical Defense/Critical Duty is a far better bullet with that polymer tip. It penetrates car doors, glass, sheet rock, layers of denim without clogging up and still expands perfectly within the body. We switched about 10 years ago, far after Atlanta PD made the switch, and their numbers proved this was a better bullet design.

I carry Hornady 125xtp in the american gunner line. I shoot the ammo that I have been carrying about once or twice a year and reload with fresh ammo. Once I have used it all up, I may take Wade's advice and go with the Critical defense. But, I bought a bunch of it, so that will be a while. For most non LEO carry folks, any modern HP would probably work just fine.

The Hornady Critical Duty had too many feeding issues for us to use. If your gun likes them, they do use a good projectile design.

Doubletap 77 grain all copper hollow point. Look at the ballistics!

Hornady Critical Duty or Critical Defense, depending on barrel length. Gets my vote as well. Same. They both feed well in my EDC CZ-75 clones.

The Hornady Critical Duty had too many feeding issues for us to use. If your gun likes them, they do use a good projectile design. I had feeding issues with certain Sig/MecGar magazines. The magazines would be gritty or textured on one side and gloss smooth on the other, not sure which was correct, but if the gloss smooth was on the inside they would feed fine, if the gritty texture was inside the magazine, they would tumble. Of course they were 357sig and none of the 9mm people had issues, but to be fair we always had issues with 357sig from Speer & Winchester. They run flawlesssly in the Glocks, being 9mm+P+ they have just as much oomph as the 357sig.

Hornady Critical Duty or Critical Defense, depending on barrel length. +1 My Omni doesn’t like the 124 +P so I carry the 115 standard.
