What is wrong with East Texas? You all didn't take me seriously, did you? You guys are no fun. Lol. East Texas isn't perfect, but it's a heii of a lot better than where we were. You’re talking to yourself. People from North Texas don’t do that. I was a North Texan.

East Texas is anything east of I-35 and North of I-10 Perhaps geographically, but true east Texas is a whole 'nother thing. And Deep East Texas is another world. Not as many Texans have really experienced it as much as folks think - some incredibly good people...and some Deliverance types.

Ok, that area description works for me, and by your definition, I am in central Texas. I don’t want to be from East Texas. To be in "East Texas", you have to be east of the Trinity River.

I'll stick with anything East of 35, North of 10. Mostly as a joke. I prefer the rough country, be it cactus and brush of South Texas, rocks, canyons, and brush of Central Texas or the wide open spaces of West Texas or the Panhandle. There's just something about all those trees, swamps, skeeters, and humidity I can't tolerate. I feel closed in. I had enough of that crap at Ft. Polk.
