Never personally done it but have had some training to do so and have observed my supervisors. For real estate in condemnation I’ve seen $250-$500/ hour.

I have been on the stand many times; some of my coworkers think I am insane because I actually enjoy it.

Definitely check with your company. I was approached once and our company legal team said no bueno.

I have an expert witness in income tax cases charged a lesser fee for the report and substantially more for trial prep and testifying. Both were done with a substantial retainer.

Lying is lying. Don't bitch about one doing it and condone another. That's called hypocrisy.

Thanks for the feedback. It's a little close to conflict of interest so I suggested a retired person I know.

It was nice being sought for and asked.

You’re the first person who actually asked after many years. It was to be that way until somebody asked. It was just some jibberish in Latin. Will change it when I have time.

Usually my rate is around $250 to $350 per hour. I adjust that rate by how much a client actually listens it seems. Thanks for the replies.
