I wouldn’t have one. I once got booked in by the local cops a long, long time ago. One question was about tattoos. That becomes a permanent record.

I told a girl in line at Walmart the other day, that they put the ring in the bull's nose in order to control him and lead him around. I think it actually hit home, she seemed to be uncomfortably thinking about it the rest of the time I was checking out. It certainly shut her up.

To me it is like a face tattoo! Why do it? Put it wherever you want to but just so that it is covered when it needs to be with NORMAL clothes.

Hell, my son turned 18 his senior year during football season. He went out and got a tattoo around his upper bicep of a chain with a crucifix on it. His mom and I didn't even notice it for several weeks.
That kind of thing doesn't bother me a damn bit but the facial/neck chit just looks like total CHIT.

There is a happy medium when it comes to body modification. My son use to have his ears gauged, it passed with time, he has one arm sleeved, nothing rude or tacky. I have couple tats on right arm and use to wear studs in ears just over time have not had them in. First week on a job 30 years ago I had in single stud and one of the good old boys at work had a comment for me. He asked "does that ear ring mean your gay?" Told him your wife doesn't think so! Thought we were going to roll with that reply, I was willing and but things calmed down and they figured out how things work out. Had some family issues over mine and my son's ink or holes in body but whole lot figured out where the line formed to kiss my backside since their opinion means very little.

I could get use to her being around with a nose ring BUT that goofy ring on her index finger would have to go.
