Yep! I just heard that my youngest granddaughter now has a nose ring. When they come up to visit next month, the wife and I will both have fake nose rings. I just ordered a couple of the most ghastly looking nose rings you can imagine. I think I just clamp it onto the septum. Hopefully it won’t hurt. I just want the kid to see how ridiculous it looks. Especially on old folks…

And if you, reading this, have a nose ring, yes it does look stupid.

Being an engineer, and trying for best practices, it bothers me that removing nasal matter would be hampered by a nose ring.

I have 4 grand-daughters, and one grandson. All have some types of piercings. Diamond nose studs, pierced ears, nose rings, and more tattoos than a NASCAR vehicle has sponsors! Something new, every time I see them, and all I can do is shake my head!!!

I’m baffled by the number of men doing it. I never understood it, at all, but when it started becoming more mainstream, it seemed to be a very feminine thing to have. Now I see quite a few men with them. In fact, I’m working with two of them, right now, in the oilfield. I don’t get it. I can’t wrap my head around what it is that they think that does for them.

I think there is a picture floating around somewhere of someone touching a 9volt battery to a sleeping persons nose ring.

It likely sent current straight to their brain, which wouldn’t even wake them.

I really like the disc they put in their ears. Stretch the lobe a little then put in a bigger one. Do these people have a mirror they can look into and see what others are seeing?

My 18 year old nephew just got one. Doesn't bother me. I see these types of things all the time and nothing really phases me anymore. Heck, we have furries on campus. If you don't know, look it up. Some will wear their furry persona's costume to class.

But they can't pay their school loans off.

Whats the difference in piercings vs tattoos? I dont have either and never appealed to me but I feel like they’re kinda lumped in the same bucket.

Personal preference. One is art, one is not.

Have a little fun with it but I wouldn't push it too hard; she may come to resent it and you if you do. But certainly do You as you feel and see fit.

Be glad it is a nose ring and not some dudes name tattooed on her chest. Piercings can be taken out and heal. Tattoos are significantly more permanent
