A real blessing to have a spring fed creek like this.

You are a lucky man. Does it have fish? If yes, what kind kind and how big? Interested on how big they will get in a small stream like that with deep holes Yes, it has perch, black bass, and catfish in it. And some sort of sucker that’s long and slim. We’ve caught bass out of it over 5lbs. Some of the perch are bigger than your hand. For whatever reason, the big bass usually come out of the narrow places. All catch and release. If we want fish to eat, there’s a ~10 acre lake in the back stocked with blue catfish. Most in the 3-6lb range. I’ve been hunting there for 28 years. Our group had held the lease since 1961 with 1 remaining original member still hunting there. Nine of us on 2,500 acres.
Practice doesn’t make perfect. Practice makes permanent.

Here's Red Oak Creek, behind our house. It forms in Cedar Hill and runs 35 miles to Bristol, Texas where it joins the Trinity River to the Gulf. No doubt, Indians and settlers made much use of it. .........our bird dogs like it too. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.postimg.cc/nL2vBSRB/Re-Oak-Creek.jpg)

Is that Willow Brook creek feeding into it? I doubt it has a name. Just a small feeder creek.

We are blessed that he is as honorable as his Aunt was that willed that parcel to him. He told us that his Aunt had stated that we could hunt there as long as we liked and he was honoring that agreement. He is very protective of his land. We can trim or clear out any tree except a Live Oak. He’s worried about Oak Wilt. He told me once that he never worried about us being on his land because he knew we treated it as though it was ours. Yep, we are blessed to have such a good landowner and that we’ve developed a deep trust between us.
