I like primitive camping hiking in and hiking out. Haven’t done it in a while, don’t know how my body would deal with sleeping on the ground these days. Even sleeping in a nice bed I wake up sometimes with body aches. Getting old I guess lol.

I still camp on the sandbar while catfishing with my boy. We'll even camp on the sandbar with our cabin half mile away. But if I'm camping in a tent, there better be something to catch or shoot close by. I dont think I've ever camped just to camp. We do also love staying in the rv at deer camp but I'd never refer to that as camping.

This was a fun camping trip...

Yeah, I'm not going to camp or hike for the fun of it. It has to be part of the work that goes into doing something fun, like hunting, fishing or skiing. If I'm going to hike, its going to be to a good public duck hunting spot you can't get to by boat or ATV. And if I'm going to hike up a mountain, I want to be able ski down.

And I normally camp to save money, and so I don't have to drive back home to sleep. Duck hunting I like to scout an afternoon, then hunt the next morning. Camping is great for this, but give me a free motel I would take it depending how far it is from the boat ramp. West Texas dove hunting, I like to hunt an afternoon, then hunt in the morning and drive home. Camping is good, but it has got to be below 60 mainly because of the bugs. But when I do camp, I make the most of it and have fun.

I like to camp. 90% of my camping is hunting or fishing related, but a couple times a year I do like to get out just to hang out with the kids, hike around, etc.

We set up our wall tent every fall for elk hunting and sometime for antelope hunting too. One year we spent 21 days in the tent and we always have some interesting weather.
We have a well on our lot in the forest so now a few days every summer will find us in a tent.

My fishing partner and I took his son in law and 4 oldest grand kids camping at Guntersville State Park last weekend. Don made the reservation. He chose the campsite not based on the view, but how close it was to the bathroom. I discovered that sleeping bags and CPAP's don't play well together.

coffee spelled backwards is eeffoc. I don't give eeffoc until I have my morning coffee.

I camp as oftern as possible. Being a teacher I camp for about a month out of each summer, mostly in Texas but I took my 6 year old to Colorado for a week last year. I camp every thanksgiving, christmas, and spring break and being hunting/crappie season from Mid oct through Jan I sleep in a tent or our pop up most weekends. Next week I am taking our 2 girls for our 3rd of 4 trips to Garner this year. My kids will probably never go to Disney World on my dime but they will have a lot of memories of camping out
