Any advice here? Drew the antlerless/spike hunt Dec 7-9. Interested in venison and pork.

Is this a compartment hunt or assigned blinds? If blinds can you still hunt? Will not have an ATV so planning to walk with cart.

My son drew GDE back on Oct 2017, I don't recall the compartment but it was the first one they drop you at, close to the gathering area/cleaning station; there was nice box blind, and if I recall correctly we could only shoot from inside the blind. He shot 2 pigs and a nice buck; back then it was very dry so we did not need an ATV and the ground wasn't muddy.
Here is a post I made, it also has some pics from Gus Engeling but the buck is from Nannie.

It was a compartment hunt with assigned blind, very think and lots of pork signs; a lot of hunters came back with plenty of them.
Best of luck!

Thx for the reply. I'm good with assigned blinds, didn't know they took you there. Curious why they recommend ATVs?

To clarify, we followed the staff truck to our blind on the first day, after that we were free to come and go at our leisure.
Some areas can get muddy so they recommend the ATVs.
