He was probably eaten alive by the cattle after the stampede into the pen.... I think that's just his cottonseed ring you see. They have big pens, maintained I think. Not everyone puts chicken wire, covered sheds, etc. around their feeders. Great looking old warrior. Sic 'em Hud! Not everyone inherits old wire pens with sheds and troughs already....I've seen his pens before...well what is now left of those pens.
