Wish I could meet Bobo. He tells me he is a big deal. I keep trying to meet Hudbone, but I keep getting rejected. I had to really think if I had met any celebrities. Willies harmonica player(Micky?) used to come in our office to see a friend. He seemed ok. Gary Busey played poker at my house once, but Im pretty sure he was heavily under the influence(not me) so maybe that helped with his fun demeanor.

Wife met George Bush at the sheriffs office and was his escort while he was there and sat next to him at the conference table. That was the year he was running for president. She was security guard for Dallas when they were filming in Rockwall and ate lunch with them when they ate.She talked in their conversations and said Priscilla Presley was a total bi*** on and off the set but the rest of the cast were great. She met Chuck Norris and Clarence Gilyard when they filmed Walker Texas Ranger in Rockwall.Roger Staubach when he appeared for jury duty and said he was nice.

Really enjoying this thread, as there really are some great guys who are famous. I'll second the votes for Tom Landry (met him at a Promise Keepers rally in N TX about 30 years ago), and Bo Jackson (ex teammate of mine played with him at Auburn). Pudge Rodriguez is a great guy as well.

I met Lou Diamond Phillips once and he was very approachable and open to chat. Miss America Shawntel Smith was as sweet as she was beautiful.

This is a good thread, better than realizing all the POS’s out there. Most recently it would have to be Herschel Walker. Really down to earth and easy to talk to

I've met a few over the years Some of the nicest ones probably would be Willie Nelson
Second for Willie Nelson. Seemed to be a very nice guy. In high school my friends and I got to hang out with him back stage at a fundraiser. We sat at the front of the stage during sound check and he played You Were Always On My Mind at my request.

Met George W. Bush while golfing at Brook Hollow in Dallas. Nice guy, but an absolute [censored] hat of a politician.

Bill’s prolly too old to choke her out…
If she was across the street and bleeding out, I’d probably stroll over to observe.

Dont think Ive ever met a celebrity. you are not missing anything. You create this notion of what they are like in your mind then its a total letdown when you meet them in person.
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Hal Jay - I met him at a gun show years ago and sold him a Remington 700 22-250. His son used it later to kill his first deer. Seemed like a very down to Earth guy.
Buck Taylor - Super nice guy and a big Trump supporter.

Probably Cliff Harris. He was at a Dallas gun show selling his shotgun and I was looking at it. I honestly had no clue who he was until my Dad saw me talking to him and walked up and started talking football with him. I felt horrible!! LOL! Looking back I should have bought the shotgun and then found a Sharpie and had him sign it just to remind me of what a dumba** I was that day.
