I couldn’t just walk around taking video like that. I’d have to be up there helping if I could once the crashing stopped.

It’s riveting video. Put the damn phone down

Maybe you're not sure what interstates are for.

I’ll go even further: ban big rigs from anywhere inside loop 820 during peak traffic hours. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

since there will be no deliveries, you won't have a pipe to smoke out of.

Create hubs to offload to smaller box trucks. I’ve thought about this for many years.

What if they just stay off the express lanes? In good weather, the west bound stretch of 183 that goes down to 1 lane, they hold up the line puttin’ down the road. That’ll irritate you when you’re paying to use it

Theres gonna be there for a long while peeling back the layers of vehicles. Watching the live feed, they just rescued a dog

There is a video from an angle on the opposite side of the highway...it is very hard to watch...there was an FJ cruiser (or some kind of smaller sized SUV) that more or less disintegrated in about 2 seconds.....very sad deal.

Seen numerous wrecks today from 18 wheelers out here in VZ county. They refuse to slow down.

FedEx driver in that video needs the book thrown at him...from different angles he had time to bury the tractor into the guardrail to at least eat up some momentum...but he waited too long to try to do something.

I live in Justin and work in Argyle. We didn't have anything but 6 miles south and 12 miles north were both slick My sister works in insurance investigation said their phones are already ringing.

As of 1:30 they were still working the accident scene to untangle vehicles.

They're now 8 confirmed dead and many in hospitals. I pray for everyone involved including the families and the first responders.

Warning - very graphic

About the 1 min mark is the FJ and FedEx truck. People need to slow the [censored] down. This is sad.

Y’all better hug your loved ones every chance you get and tell them you love them enough they know it. Things like this happen and it’s too late. Breaks my heart for the families involved in this

That sounds like a neat idea until you add in the extra cost.

To be determined

Toll roads are 1 thing. This was an express lane.

I'm not 100% sure which way the traffic is suppose to be flowing in this picture.

I watched that. He was going way too fast. I took my sweet arse time getting into work this a.m. Know it pissed some people off, and I don't give a crap.

Prayers up for all involved in this.

Eight fatalities so far is what I just heard.
It’ll probably take at least a couple of days for clean up and investigation.

That was horrific, some of those families will be lucky to have a bucket of family members parts to bury. The semi drivers need to be thrown in jail for manslaughter at minimum...

Do they tag vehicles based on fatalities? I see little tags on all of them.

I have heard that Fed Ex does not require their drivers speak English. Not sure if that is true but it has been going around for a while about their drivers.
How could they read a warning sign about an accident or road conditions if they can't read English ?

Also any of you truckers know if any of you use CBs anymore ? Seems they would get an alert out much faster about something like this to slow drivers down than a cell phone.
