I have been on the hunt for Buffleheads for the last few years hunting off the gulf coast, I can bring in everything else but no luck on the butterballs. I’m hunting points in the bay, using a larger spread with 3-6 buffleheads 20 or so yards away towards me.
I’m mainly hunting Corpus Christi bay and Baffin Bay. Are they down here in the numbers I’m told or am I just bad luck?
Appreciate any insight on their behavior or hunting tips on our gulf coast.

Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, b/c they know not victory nor defeat"- #26 TR

Killed plenty of buffies on Baffin back in the day. I think it was more of a luck thing, then decoy placement.
