I shoot all of mine every chance I get. Some of mine get used a lot more than others do, but I try to shoot em all as much as I can.

I'll shoot three to six rounds out of my 300 Wby before hunting season and only the higher number if I change the zero. I'll shoot ten to twenty rounds out of my 30-06, usually the higher again if I'm using a new round or adjusting zero. I don't understand why people shoot so many rounds. I haven't missed a deer in thirty years at ranges from six yards to 297 yards, and don't understand why people fire so many rounds getting ready for the season. Don't you have confidence in your and your rifle's abilities?

I'd like to burn a couple of boxes (20 ea) or so.
No telling how many 22 rds while the barrel is

Myself, I've got plenty of confidence in my gun and
my own ability. Besides the fact I believe practice
is important, I just plain love to shoot.

Probably 1000 rounds a year from my primary deer gun, and 700 from the secondary gun. But i'm more of a shooter than a hunter.

There have been plenty of seasons in my 50 plus years deer hunting that I didn't shoot a single shot between seasons. My 1956 vintage Remington 722 .244 has gone as long as 10 years without a single scope adjustment. Nowadays, I have more time and I shoot a lot simply because I like to shoot. I probably pop the cap on 200 rounds between seasons. I have a number of deer rifles and I'm always fooling around changing loads, scopes, etc.

One shot from each unless it needs adjusting then it's three at the most.

Relatively few at the range. I shoot my rifles year round at pigs and varmints. I bowhunt for the most part but targets of opportunity whilst driving the lease get a rifle round.

No telling how many I'll shoot between now and then, but I don't load so right before season I'll buy 2 matching boxes for each gun I plan to shoot. I'll go to the range and shoot each one until I'm happy with it then I'm set for the season.

I guess the answer is about 20 rnds each.

Not as many as I usually do! At least until the prices stabiize. Stuff's too expensive to just blow it up for the fun of it.

Amazing! This thing is really old...but I'll shoot sporadically thru out the year but as it gets to Aug I'll shoot a little more...between then and opening morning I'll go four to five times to the range. Usually only one or two shots out of my deer rifles because its so hot, a few more out of my heavy barreled 22-250. I do think it is good to practice a little before the season. I'm also one who supports the dirty barrel shoots more accurately than a clean barrel. Of course that's what I was taught growing up. Then I was convinced I could shoot tighter groups thru a clean barrel and took a 7Mag that shot 1/2 inch, 5 shot groups at 100yards and turned it into a 2 inch grouper after cleaning the barrel. It took for ever to get in back to shooting well and has never gotten back to shooting 1/2 inch groups agh!!!

I used to shoot a lot, This year I think I will continue on the same box of 20 I started with last year and be ok. The hogs might get me though.

You should look into a .25 cal PCP Air Rifle. #3 Buckshot can be had for a penny a piece. If you buy a Benjamin Discovery .22 cal package it comes with a pump and you can use size "F" shot for less than 1/2 cent a shot. So instead of goofing off you can tell the little lady your exercising.

I may not pick up the rifle at all but I usually shoot 1 time before hunting. If it hits where I aim I'm done.

I probably shoot 200 rounds per year with my deer rifle.

I don't find it's necessary to fire a lot of rounds(50-100 or more) but enough to make sure your rifle is sighted in properly. I do about every three to four months and its usually from 100-200 yards about 10-20 rounds per session.

Went to the range yesterday.

27 rounds out of the 7 mag
20 rounds out of the 22-250
30 rounds out of the 6.8mm SPC

I generally shoot about 40 rounds every two weeks. Changed optics on the 7 mag and 6.8. Working on a load for the 7 mag and 22-250. Got trigger happy with the 6.8. I average about 40 rifle rounds every two weeks or so.

I will shoot 3 times prior to deer season with my main rifle and prob that many from all my secondary rifles.

Then I have my favorites and they will prob see 100+ rounds every month.

Shoot a couple shots thru each to make sure it's still sighted in.

That's what works for me...killing targets never really appealed to me, plus they taste like paper.
