I really like winchester drylok high velocity rounds. I also have some kent bismuth that I like.

When I shoot my current stock down I'll probably get some boss shotshells. But honestly have no complaints with winchester or kent, the boss shells will just be to try something new.

Like most stuff, the cheapest stuff on the market is normally crap. The most expensive stuff is normally only marginally better than middle of the road stuff. I like the middle.of the road stuff bc it seems to be the best bang for the duck.

I've shot nearly everything and I buy cheap Rios. When you can get them dirt cheap from Rogers and still kill birds its an easy decision for me...

Dont tell me you have to run $30 shells to kill ducks too.......

Every one I've killed was with the basic Winchester Super X shells.... and the Hevi Steel shells.

Gonna start using Kent Faststeels this season since I'll be running a new auto loader

I kill more ducks with cheap shells than some folks I hunt with using high dollar magic shotshells. They're a waste of money. Marketing nonsense.

If it's high dollar steel, yes, it's marketing and a waste. But if it's bismuth, which Boss is, it's not nonsense. Bismuth kills ducks better, there's all kinds of proof behind it.

As long as you put the string on them, any piece o' carp load will kill ducks inside 35 yards. The places I hunt that is usually plenty, so I go middle of the road and shoot the Federal Ultra Shocks. Similar to Kent Fast Steel.

I have to admit that having a good dog by my side makes me want to skyblast a bit more. I know all ll I need to do is bring them down and watch her work. That being said, with the Federals I've folded a lot of ducks over the last couple of years a lot further out than I'd normally shoot. I can't imagine a need for bismuth, but if I didn't have a dog or had a reason to shoot out beyond 50 yards I wouldn't hesitate to give it a go.

I get the Winchester’s on sale with rebate each year. Practice more, get a kicks high flyer choke, and worry less about high dollar shells.

Knowing how your shotgun shoots, biweekly clays, and cheap shells. You'll be just fine.

I'll agree that high end steel isn't any better than cheap steel though, but...

Bismuth is proven to penetrate better, have less cripples, and kill more effectively.
Have you seen how many hunters quit hunting ducks because they couldn't shoot lead anymore and were crippling ducks left and right?
Bismuth has now fixed that.
I have pics of bismuth, that i can post up if needed, actually penetrating ballistic gel superior to lead.
It's literally science that steel basically sucks.
