Can anyone see a watch in that pic we have seen way too many times? It is a watch thread so I am just checking to make sure I am not missing something. I do not see a watch in Bills pic. Just a light reflection from the sun.

I collect watches but have no interest in Rolex. For the same money, I would buy a Glashutte Original, Sea Q Panorama. I would then a watch, that's chronometer certified, with a hundred hour power reserve. As a relatively new brand I appreciate Glashutte, just none really appeal to me. Not considering price, I would go Blancpain Fifty Fathoms (100 hour power reserver) over Glashutte or if I wanted to stay German I would go A. Lange Sohne, Zeitwerk Minute Repeater being my unobtainable grail. Modern Rolex movements are COSC.

They're not German but being from Western Switzerland, they might as well be.

Final update, after more negotiations I ended up with my grail watch. This is the epitome of watches for me. Ref. 116660. Received today, here are some pics. Maybe we should do a watch thread...kidding. Not much of a photographer.

Great choice...the modern ceramic versions are much nicer, IMO. The DSSD is a boss watch, enjoy!
