Oh, BTW, ALL of the doors will be 8' tall.
So, I need to grind the welds on that one header and move it up. I just had to look at that one for a few days. Shocking

I picked this for the front doors, because I want a giant front door opening to get furniture and appliances into the house. And my bride loves the one I picked. https://www.sbmtx.com/products/60x80-star-double-wrought-iron-door.htmlNice looking door!

Go with an 8 foot door. I hate short doors 8' doors are a necessity. Those 6'8" doors really cheapen the look and feel of a nice house.

Just realized you decided to go with the taller doors, nice choice. Build job is looking great.
Are you going with any vaulted ceilings or all flat?

Without going back through eleven pages, has a hot water faucet been discussed for outside? I've done this for a few customers down through the years as well as on my home. It doesn't cost a quarter extra in the big picture. You can bathe the dogs, horses, etc. in the winter.

That is one cool idea! Thanks! I didn't think to mention that they make a "Y" hose that you can use. I have the faucets next to each other as standard. For bathing our dogs I have about a fifteen foot piece of hose so between bathing and rinsing the timing is shorter waiting on warm water again. The faucets are on the south side. I have them tied so they can't run off all soaped up in 30 degree weather. https://www.lowes.com/pd/EASTMAN-12...Rubber-Washing-Machine-Connector/3546270

Done with the outter wall framing. Every one of those studs has two 1 1/4" welds top and bottom, 16" centers. This house has put over 250 hours on my Miller Bobcat. So many welds! Some Firemen buds have been interior framing, and are done with the walls. They're working on ceiling joists now. I screwed 3' x 5' x 1/2" concrete fiber board from the stone ledge up, all the way around. Because I don't want wood on the outter walls. Yeah, 5'long does not jive with studs on 16" centers. So where a sheet was going to hit a stud void I welded in a horizontal block I cut out of stud material. The perimeter of the house is 300', and it only took 23 blocks, so not too bad. lapped the house installing the concrete board, and when I got to the end of a wall where one had to be cut I skipped it and turned the corner, installing only whole sheets. Then cut in the blank spaces. Then I came back and cut out the window openings with a Sawzall for the vertical, and scored the horizontal with a box knive, then broke the piece off. It only took 20 minutes to cut out the window openings. I'm getting close to NOT being the guy doing the work, and I am ready!

Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to go ahead and buy everything you can think of left to finish that is made in China or has components from China. The HVAC may be made here, but with some Chinese components. It is hard to think of much you have left that is 100% made in USA.
