Hot wire the ignition to a napalm bomb. Removes the problem.

Easiest way to avoid getting your car stolen these days is to drive a manual transmission.
I just turned it on . I was looking bird dogs in the butt this morning.

Just what we need on here, another old man trying to show how smart he is.

I've heard some insurance companies actually give a discount for manual transmissions. Anti-theft device. Can you recall which ones? Both my wife and I drive stick vehicles.

No basis in fact or personal experience. A friend just mentioned it in general conversation. I didn't take it any further than that. I don't have a stick shift so I kind of blew it off.
