Girlfriend drug me to a wedding for a friend of hers Saturday. Venue in Celina. 95*, dead calm, outdoor ceremony under mosquito filled trees surrounded by a "pond". WALK from the ceremony site UP a hill to the reception hall. FINALLY some AC !! FINALLY, the bar is open and I grab a handful of Pacifico beer and a white wine for the Gal. They call our table for dinner buffet..........ready?..........ready?....... NO MEAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All vegetable items, HIPPIES, groom had a man-bun, lots of colorful tattoos and pink haired girls. Vows they talked about how to stay married in this CAPITALISTIC world !!! Guess she dint mind her daddy making the money to pay for it all. They brought a live band from Cincinnati, very good, an Emerald City type party band. All is good, got my Pacifico

I'll never understand why folks have outdoor weddings in Texas unless it's between November and May..

Pacifico would’ve tied me over for the hour or less we stayed at the reception until I get out of there and get some real food.

Amen... And then you'd better have a contingency plan in case 3 inches and hour of rain comes down. At least that's how it is at my camp. Wife and I went to one in Naples, TX on June 30 several years ago. It was still 95° during the ceremony at dusk. We gave them hell for scheduling it when they did.

Amen... well I'm guilty , but if you want to have an outdoor wedding , on a SATURDAY in the Fall or Spring, in the "Hill Country" you need to plan 2 years ahead. My daughter wanted Spring break, she finally got June 27th. Depends when you want to get married. On the good side, we are having Papacitas catering a Fajita buffet, with open bar !!!

I'll give them two years. Why so long? Gives them plenty of chances to work things out before calling it quits it would be irresponsible for them to do otherwise.. And they brought in a live band from Cincinnati.
