I grew up down there and I saw very few monsters taken in Walker County. I am surprised the bucks in the photos don't have ear tags lol.

Just my .02, LeonCarr heheh I was only playin around, but there is definitely truth in what you said. Until recently there were very very few large bucks being taken in Walker county. The quality of deer taken there now is a testament to antler restrictions. Growin up hunting the big woods, if you saw a buck that wasnt still lookin for mommas tit, you shot it. I would hunt all season and see nothing bigger than a 6 pt.

I would hunt all season and see nothing bigger than a 6 pt. Truth. Throughout the 80s and 90s Walker County was 1 Buck, Doe by permit only. Any buck, regardless of size, age, or quality, got shot. IMO/IME Antler Restrictions have certainly helped Walker and surrounding counties in regards to better quality deer. To stay on thread, those are nice bucks in the photos. Watch out for poachers.
