I shoot 110v-max out of my 300bo and have yet to have one go father than 20 yards. It shredded the heart and lungs!

I bet they work fine. Texas deer ain't that big. The SCI handgun record deer was killed with a FN5.7, if that deer still holds the record. I have seen big deer killed with a 5,7, 22tcm, and 9mm handguns, thought i wouldn't recommend that. I know people that have heart shot does (not brain stem or anything) with 204, 222, 223, etc and they all found the deer. I know a guy who shoots the barnes 110 copper bullet out of an 06 and likes it ( i know it ain't t the same but still). Anywho, give it a whirl and report back

I killed 5 does this year with my 6mm Creedmoor (20" AR10) and the 87g Vmax loads.. all headshots, but suffice it to say zero wasted meat and no tracking whatsoever (I detest that word)

I'm not sure I've ever seen a deer not drop within 10 yards on a vmax shot in the bread basket. That's with a .308 and a .22-250

I use the 55 grain V-Max in my .22-250.
works good for neck shooting does.....lung shot a few of them, they die but sometimes they can run aways
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Vmax wouldn't be my first choice for a huge buck in the shoulder at close range in thick stuff of course..
