Taking all factors into consideration, what would you consider the best firearm while you were staying in a hotel? Not flying, so do not need to take that into account.

Stay at better hotels? Kidding of course.
My everyday carry is a Glock 19, so that’s my hotel gun.

I carry every day. I'd hate to hit the poor lad in the next room due to over penetration. Just trying to look for opinions to be honest.

Take/carry what you normally carry. Your house or hotel room should make no difference.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

Taurus Judge w/#6 shot will stop the threat at hotel room distances and pretty well eliminate overpenetration concerns.

I usually use my EDC pistol just like I would anywhere else I go away from home, but it does bring up an interesting point. A shotgun is generally the best idea for home defense. This is from a combination of terminal performance and limiting over-penetration concerns. Over-penetration is arguably even more crucial in a hotel scenario, it's almost a guarantee there will be someone on the other side of every wall. With that being said, a shotgun w/ reduced power buck is probably the best. Up to you if you want to check in with a long gun. I"ll pass.

Some lads are agile and can move right out of the way. Have you ever seen a laddie go this way and that? Like bloody lightning, they are. Just carry what you have handy and enjoy your holiday. Bob's your uncle.
Haha yea I polished that thing for hours.

As was said above, my EDC goes to work with me, to church, the store, and sits in my bedside safe. Why wouldn't it go to the hotel with me too? It is the gun that I handle most often, shoot most often, and am most familiar with. That makes it the best option.

Taking all factors into consideration, what would you consider the best firearm while you were staying in a hotel? Not flying, so do not need to take that into account. You don't have to fly but what about driving out of state? You had better know all of the various transport/carry/use laws of the different states you may be driving in?

Just imagine discharging ONE round of any of the above listed in your room in the OMNI downtown Houston. Go ahead we can wait a minute......got it? Now tell us which was the best choice.

Nothing less than an M134 for a hotel. You know how many zombies those places can hold?
Seriously though, I agree with the above. Stay with what you know and shoot. Make every shot count.

Still my EDC (9mm). It does not matter how much attention I draw to myself, and my hearing really no longer matters to me if I am in a life or death situation.

Either my Glock 19 or S&W Shield 9mm, depending on how I intend to dress while I am there.

Another option is a good revolver in 357. You can load the first 2 shots with #4 shot and reduced 38's on the other chambers.
