I would probably have to go with any of my ARs. Cheap and fun is a winning combination for me.

Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

Overall best value gun I have is a Remington 788 in 7mm-08 that I bought new for $209 including tax. With handloads tailored for it half inch groups are common. Do not do that every time but almost never have a group over 5/8 at 100 yards using its 2-7X32. Not bad for a wood stocked gun that was bought at Walmart in 1982, still basically stock other than the barrel is free floated now Great shooters, I'd like to get one in .308. Original-owner of a 1979 .243 with the 22” barrel and the straight bolt. That gun is so much fun to carry and shoot. If they made new ones of the same quality I’d likely buy 5-6 different calibers.

My favorite rifle to shoot that I own is my Remington sendero in 270 win. I grab that gun with confidence every time.
Don't tell my rifle, but probably the favorite one I have ever shot was my brothers Marlin 1895 cowboy in 45-70 open sight.
Im going to be putting together my "home assembled" savage 7mm08 this summer for hopefull use next season and it may steal some thunder from my sendero.

The way I see it, if you bought it new you probably paid too much.

Remington 3200 (12 ga.) with Briley 28 ga. tubes installed. Breaks targets like a 20, feels like a .410.

I like shooting bolt guns.
My favorite is a tie between my two mark V’s.
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

A Browning 22 Semi Auto Rifle that was the first gun I ever bought. It was made in 1926 and I have over 100,000 rounds through it. It is fast becoming my grandson's favorite rifle also.

That would be my Swedish Model 41B Sniper Rifle. It is more accurate than I am. The Ajack scope is so easy to put on target. It will be a sad day when I run out of my hoard of original prickskytte ammo for it. It's only a special occasion fair weather day rifle, but it is the rifle I enjoy shooting the most.

Thinking back on my best hunts over the last five or so years and this one gave me the most memories. Remington 700 5R Milspec in .308 with a Leupold VX6. I have killed a truckload of bucks, hogs and coyotes with this set up. This hunt is typical of what this rifle will do. Shot these three over 1-1/2 hours from the same spot from. If memory serves me, 170, 220 and close to 400 yards. I have one of these, it’s also my favorite last few years
