I would probably have to go with any of my ARs. Cheap and fun is a winning combination for me.

Original-owner of a 1979 .243 with the 22” barrel and the straight bolt. That gun is so much fun to carry and shoot. If they made new ones of the same quality I’d likely buy 5-6 different calibers.

Don't be afraid of buying the older ones. I currently have 223, 30-30, 44 Mag and the 7mm-08. Never met a 788 yet that doesn't shoot good

My favorite rifle to shoot that I own is my Remington sendero in 270 win. I grab that gun with confidence every time.

Don't tell my rifle, but probably the favorite one I have ever shot was my brothers Marlin 1895 cowboy in 45-70 open sight.

Im going to be putting together my "home assembled" savage 7mm08 this summer for hopefull use next season and it may steal some thunder from my sendero.

For sure don't be discouraged by "used". The way I see it, if you bought it new you probably paid too much.

Remington 3200 (12 ga.) with Briley 28 ga. tubes installed. Breaks targets like a 20, feels like a .410.

I like shooting bolt guns.

My favorite is a tie between my two mark V’s.

Everybody I know with a 788 will not part with it for anything.

A Browning 22 Semi Auto Rifle that was the first gun I ever bought. It was made in 1926 and I have over 100,000 rounds through it. It is fast becoming my grandson's favorite rifle also.

That would be my Swedish Model 41B Sniper Rifle. It is more accurate than I am. The Ajack scope is so easy to put on target. It will be a sad day when I run out of my hoard of original prickskytte ammo for it. It's only a special occasion fair weather day rifle, but it is the rifle I enjoy shooting the most.
