Came out this year...pretty cool. I see this being a neat little critter getter with some sort of pistol brace....308, 223, and 300 BO.

That's MSRP. Street price will be probably be around $800-$900.

And needs a $150 trigger.

Worthless without a brace. Looks like they did some machining to accept one.

I have several XP-100's. This has no appeal to me.
This thing looks like it was designed trying to incorporate every in trend.

I handled one of these at the DSC show. Remington looks like they're trying too hard to be "cool".

Perfect deer stand gun, no brace necessary.

Do you even handgun, bro?

Seems right in line with encores, contenders, etc. put the front end on a bipod or some sort of rest and you have a really handy gun. It seems like someone on this forum or Texas bowhunter was having great success with a custom .308 700 pistol.

Figured you would be all over this, it’s already setup for lefties. Add a bipod and it’s good to go

I've killed lots of animals sitting on the ground, rifle resting on my pack that is standing in front of me. I don't see this being good at that. Good friend of mine, and a guy I doe hunt with has a Contender pistol 15" 7mm-08. He contacted ATF and was told good to go to permanently affix the Crux brake that the suppressor attaches to, and put a rifle stock on it, with no SBR mother may I.

So the rifle cartridge pistol will be turned into a rifle.

See my last.

Set this up for a folding rifle stock and I'd probably have one.

Why would he bother contacting the ATF with such a clear cut question? A rifle barrel shorter than 16" that has a permanently attached device to put it at or above 16" is never considered an SBR.

It was a pistol first, he wanted to be very sure he was legal.

Contenders, by design, can go either way. Case law backs it up.

I always wondered about these. If im going to buy a pistol I want a pistol, to me these are just more difficult to shoot rifles.

Yep...folding pistol brace of some type and the Ark Neo will make this a nice backpack rifle.

So the million dollar question for me is can a buffer tube be screwed into the back of the receiver there where that QD mount is? And what's the barrel length and twist for the 300blk barrel?

The concept of having a rifle pistol is pretty silly to me. But if I could Form 1 that sucker, and put a stock with a Law Tactical folder on the back I could see it. It would be rather difficult to put a 300blk bolt action SBR together from scratch for less than the assumed street price of ~$800.

What does that have to do with anything?

Rifles are shot more accurately than pistols

Why dont F-class, bench-rest, and PRS shooters shoot with pistols?

Probably because they don’t have a division for that. That’s about like asking why you don’t take a Honda dirt bike to race Isle of Man.

But there is plenty of high power silhouette to be shot with handguns. Maybe some people like to do thing different than everyone else.. is that so bad?

I've just never met anyone that owns a Contender or Encore that doesn't know they can be configured as a rifle or a pistol. confused2

I'll put it another way. How many people go to the field to hunt with a rifle, versus a pistol?

Why are so many people putting "arm braces" on AR pistols?

Answer, shouldering the firearm makes for more precise shooting. You know good and well that is true. It has been true for hundreds of years.
