If you can't laugh at yourself, give me a call. I'll gladly laugh at you. "I keep trying to see Nancy Pelosi's and Chuck Schumer's point of view, but I can't seem to get my head that far up my [censored]." Senator John Kennedy, Louisiana

Seeds are about 1/4" long.

Looks like it could be a Bumelia tree. I've never heard of a bumelia tree but I googled it and you nailed it. Thank you Sir.

I wish I knew plants and trees better. On my bucket list to do whenever I retire.
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

We have those here. Stxranchman for the win. Bumelia, also called ironwood, I believe. Cut some down today to make room for my new shop and storage building.

I will say this, wear gloves and eye protection. These things have thorns like a honey locust, especially if they are cut down and runners sprout up.

White Wings love those berries. Dont know name of tree. Gum b tree. My neighbor had one here on our fenceline in the city until a few years ago and the dove would devour the berries. Was fun to watch. Pellet gun could have been fun if legal.

Bucks love to sign post rub these trees in the Hill Country. You can tell their travel direction by the side of the tree that is rub in a lot of times also. You can look with the sun behind your back and see the brighter orange like color of the layers under the bark shine as you walk towards them( if they are rubbed on that side).
