Some of the older guys at the academy near me like to stand at the other end of the counter and ignore me and my buddies because we are young. Makes me mad..

ya i have had that happen to me at a lot of gun shops...... i know what u mean. except when i went to look at handguns at the SW here, a man came rightg up to me to help. U know if all sales employees treated there customers like discount tire employees do, it would be a much better world.IMO

I was over at the one in San Antonio yesterday. About 99% of the ammuntion was sold and they had a 5% discount on firearms. Not much left on optics like binoculars and such. Seemed like a lot of fishing stuff there too. They had a Diamone Ice 29" 70# bow that I almost wanted to buy but didn't. The stuff I really needed was already sold out. We ended up getting some shirts and some shoes for the kids. There was a Stevens in a 270 that was for $319 I think. They had some Remington SPS rifle left. Also some Tikka and Browning rifles as well.

just a little FYI from my sons friend that works at the on in San Antonio. They drop the prices 10% after hours Monday nights. So unless there is only one or 2 items left that you want try to hold out...and your welcome...

if they're 30 percent off, they are still overprived. A guy that works there told me they marked up the prices twice the week they put out the closing signs

Checked out the SA location. Lots gone. The place was packed and everything was still really expensive.

I went into their store in Memphis this past week. I didn't hardly see any deals. Went in to look for a jacket, ended up buying it at Basspro for $30 cheaper.
