It is amazing how a squirrel can outfox a human. Will be very interesting to see how many man hunting hours will be necessary to bag that squirrel. May have to set up a feeder and hog, pardon me, squirrel light if it has gone nocturnal. Then, the question as to if that would be considered to be "fair squirrel chase" comes into the equation.

Stxranchman I did have cameras out and I found his tree but the water was rising when I left so I pulled them and heard yesterday I pretty much lost everything. The Ranger is still there but under water and the water ran a foot deep through the cabin and two feet through the campers. I will go check it out in a day or two and I will sit near the squirrel tree.

Been watching this thread for almost a week. When we gonna see a shoulder mount? Probably never. The boy's using a little dew as an excuse.

But...did the pursuit of the squirrel bring about the wrath of nature in regard to the destruction of the camp? Sometimes a man has to recognize he is overmatched!!

I am a meat hunter, don't care about trophies. If it weren't for hunting in an AR county I would hammer every crap buck before shooting a doe. Only takes 1 buck to impregnate all those doe running around. I don't mind letting good looking potential bucks walk. But a crap 4 point will not be a shooter for years and will more than likely die before he is a shooter. Every fawn a doe has could be a giant, so why shoot 3 does?
Oh well, I will get off my soap box.

We got the Ranger running again but there was drift wood on the windshield so the water ran through it pretty good. I think everything else is a loss. I'm considering hiring a dozer and pushing it all in a hole and starting over.
