This trophy thing is ruining squirrel hunting for us common folk. Soon there ain't going to be a patch of woods left without a squirrel fence or fancy corporate lease on it. Vanilla Jesus remember your roots...

This trophy thing is ruining squirrel hunting for us common folk. Soon there ain't going to be a patch of woods left without a squirrel fence or fancy corporate lease on it. Vanilla Jesus remember your roots... Remember its what ever the market will bear . Supply and demand.

I think the pressure has pushed him out. I hope the rut will make him make a mistake. How do you rattle up squirrels?

Creekrunner I have that exact call and use it to stop foxes when we call in thick brush. They dart in and out of those little openings and I shake the hell outta that thing and they will stop everytime.

BUT - is it a HF or LF trophy squirrel??? Is he protein feed and shot up with steroids or is he native? And is it a non typical or typical? These questions must be answered

Have to find the right acorn tree and learn to hunt the squirrel instead of it hunting you as green as it is.
Remember all squirrels need 4 things, food, water, trees and quick scampers across pavement. Once you figure that out things just fall into place.

And on top of this ^ , you need to wash your clothes and bury them in dirt for a month. Then spray on the latest skunk cover scent. Most of all- Learn to hunt the wind or you'll never get the harvest opportunity.

Bacon and Starbucks coffee might be the ticket to your success....   Those 2 are key for baiting in a successful Trophy Squirrel harvest when under QSMA.....

This thread has led me to design and will immediately begin production of a "High Squirrel Fence". A tremendous demand is expected so you can get your name on the list here and THF members will be given priority! You must remember that if you use it your trophy will not be "book" eligible.
