Ok finally got the sight sighted in. I saw that everyone recommends writing down x and y is that data shown somewhere if so where at or should I have been keeping track the whole time? The X/Y coordinates will be in the top right corner of the screen when your in sight in mode. Make sure your in the lowest zoom when recording the data, as it'll change when zooming in. The manual that came with my scope is nothing special, but a lot better than the ATN site. If it wasn't for this forum, there would be a lot more scope returns for ATN to deal with. Maybe Sachal will chime in one of these days with some good news ?

Has anyone else tried these yet? To the OP are they still performing well?

Gang my 5-18 will be here tomorrow. Can someone measure the length of the rail mount. This is going on my bmag and if I need to pick up another rail to mount to my rifle I would like to do that after work tonight.

Has anyone else tried these yet? To the OP are they still performing well? Hi, yea i'm pretty satisfied with the Kentli's, been using them in my Garmin Astro and 2 way radio for over a year, and with 5-6 hours X-Sight uptime with rechargable batteries, thats good enough fort me. As for now i sent the 5x back to get a 3x instead, will do some more testing when i get the new one. /MKL

I also switched back to the .200 version and all is working well again, except for the known issues that I'm hoping will be fixed with the next newest firmware update. I'm so glad that I'm able to download the older firmware, or this scope would be heading back for a refund. One thing to note, is that even though I couldn't see well through the viewfinder in NV mode, that wasn't the case with the recorded video taken. That came out crystal clear and bright. One of these times they'll get it right, hopefully before they get to the .500th firmware upgrade I hope? I noticed while hunting with .228 over the weekend that if I snap a still photo, the image in the viewfinder brightens back up for a while. -ww

These batteries have a great read! Do you see a low battery indicator or does the scope promptly shut off when the batteries run out? If the x-sight is your spotting scope and you leave it turned on for several hours, these are must have batteries. Anyone else try them yet? Has anyone else tried these yet? Same here. Sometimes when my batteries get low my green screen turns to a rose color but I can still see everything. I decided to take a picture so I could view it later to verify the picture was rose. Well, taking the picture removed the rose.
I'm on .200 firmware.

Ordered two sets of the Kentli batteries to give them a try. March 4 - April 7 is a long time even for a slow boat from China

Maybe your scope will be made to work like the box says it does by then!

Maybe your scope will be made to work like the box says it does by then! Seriously funny but I doubt it . I have to admit, I'm having fun with it though. Been chasing two large boars on my lease that continue to evade me. Named them El Cucuy and El Jefe. Smart rascals that I feel have patterned me! When I decide to start shooting raccoon's, it will be fun!

Hey Fella's, Back from my hog hunt in south Georgia. I know we all are experimenting with the X site, some more extensively than others but will say that once I zeroed at the range it held even after the baterries were pulled. This scope is not without it's faults as we know but I shot two pigs at 100 yards +. Dusk and night and three days apart. The lihtium batteries I used (Energizer) still going after 15 hours of use. I shot a boar at 100 yds, in the dark and through the left ear and out the right. Precisly where I was aiming. Take it as you will. My shimming held but no way is it long term. There were several mentions of a dimming scope, I did experience this. the .200 firmware didn't do this. Not going to describe the entire event of the trip but the scope will kill pigs, without a doubt. Just my opinion and experience guys.

Widone, nicely stated and I too am enjoying using the X-sight in spite of it's advertised shortcomings.

I'm on .200 firmware. I get the same rose color when I first turn it on sometimes, and just as the moon started rising Saturday the image was amazing both for its colors and the level of detail that was showing. I might use that "mode" intentionally if it was available. -ww

Anybody had the base bolt break? Last night during a hunt I had the nut just pop off. The bolt just snapped. Cheap hardware

Here is a bit of a Update for you guys.
"Scott Country International-- Hello Eric, yes indeed we have been made aware of a date. This fix moves the background rather than the reticle, ensuring the reticle stays central to the screen, as well as some other enhancements. We have a X Sight running the new BETA firmware and it is smooth, crisp and excellent quality day and night. The light is at the end of the tunnel."

Thanks Eric. Hopefully the rest of us paying customers / involuntary beta testers will get access to the latest beta version pretty soon!

Yea, I noticed that the 228 firmware on ATN FB page has been removed. Perhaps that is a sign.

I still see the .228 firmware on the ATN site? I would love a sign, any sort of sign that the "Holy Grail" ie. new 2.0 firmware is coming soon!

Guys sorry I hate to do this but a search isn't getting me anywhere. My 5 - 18 came today and it has .184 for the firmware. I thought I read some place where somebody had it saved to download...can anyone point me in the direction?

If you want the newest firmware you need to just go to the ATN web site and pull it. If you want 200 then do what Mikei said. I would recommend 200 as there are a bunch of issues with the 228.
