That buck is 3.5 years old. His neck is just starting to develop. He has no sag in his gut and no looseness in his brisket. He does have a nice rack, but you can't judge age by antler size. And just because he has dark markings has nothing to do with his age. I wish people would give reasoning behind their age opinions. I would like to hear the justification of proclaiming him as a 5.5 year old deer. I'm not trying to be confrontational, but to hunt where I hunt on MLDP land I have to know my deer aging and I just don't see it here.
