4.5 man that is a cool looking buck Love the distinct dark lines above its eyes, looks like heavy black eyebrows and the dark coloring on its brisket and back almost makes it look like an exotic species of whitetails! Again neat buck

Definitely a really cool buck. This guy will probably never be harvested. Where he lives is in the middle of the city, in an area that use to have a fair amount of woods around it. When some development started to occur, they put up a fence around a 10 acre section of property used to grow trees that would later be replanted around the business development. This buck either was left in, or placed inside, years ago. I got within 4 ft of him this year, and literally pet him last year. He comes right up to the fence when approached. Called the local game warden last year to see if they might move him to the woods or perhaps put him in Bear Creek Park, to replace the buck in the zoo area that was killed/poached a few years back. The guy said they'd take care of it. As I drove by the area yesterday, I saw him and went to take a pic of him. He's a cool looking deer. Going to call again today to see if they might still be able to relocate him. Perhaps this will just be his home for good. I just have a bad feeling someone see him and 'take him out' of the area themselves. Neat seeing this guy in the middle of the city, though! Very unique!

Nope, but I've seen some good deer around that area too. I lived near Addicks Reservoir and when I'd hike the trails I saw some big bucks. Saw a monster 12 that surprised me - never knew Harris County could produce something that size!

Harris County has some pretty good deer espicialy around the George Bush park area. I believe they are south Texas genetic deer that were stocked years ago. I also know down south around Hobby airport some bruisers as well. Really cool looking animal, thanks for posting!!!

Yeah, I took it through the fence, just a few feet away, with my iPhone. This was him last year:
