Tried mine on yesterday!

Today I was at the lake with some guys and this flock of dove flies over
There must have been 30-35 dove there
I thought to my self... only a few more days and then I can start dropping em!

Was noticing the farmers are harvesting the milo about now.

18 days and about 6 hours I believe

I've only been dove hunting a few times with a friend late in the season last year. Didn't come home with much but I can't wait to go out again.

I d rather have them cut the milo 3 days before.
And leave it unplowed.
Luckely our places have not been cut yet, and the corn is still standing.
Farmer will leave milo and cornfield unplowed till january.

starting to make my piles,

re-stock "dove box", shells, trash bags, game shears, nitrile gloves (I know, i'm a [censored]), gallon zip lok bags with Permanent black marker, oil, rags, ear plugs, paper towels, Koozies, all fit nicely in a plastic tote box.

Dove stools, mojo's, ice chest, ice chest, ice chest full of goodies.

11 Days Now !!!!!!!!

11 days, 8 hours, and about 40 minutes until go time! I got my decoy fences and mojo posts set up around my pond today! I think the only things I have left to do are make some wire stands for my ground decoys and finish my custom bucket. No possible way that I can make those jobs take up the rest of the time we have to wait!

edit: I also have to go turn over the ground behind my pond...I can at least kill an evening with that!
