I said the same thing about spending the money on a high end cooler. Then hurricane Ike hit I went threw a bunch of ice trying to keep everything cold b/c my generator could only run three of my refrigerator plus a few lights for 3 weeks. I bought a ton of ice all I had was the 4 120qt igloo coolers but now I have 2 150qt and 70qt Yukon they hold the ice way longer than the cheaper ones. Nobody ever thinks about long days like we had their just glad to get 3-4 days at the lease nev again for me now I have a lot of coolers LOL!!

I'd love to have one but really I can't bring myself to spend $400 or $500 on an ice chest. I don't care where it's made. My 120 quart igloos don't hold the ice as good but for three or four day trips to the deer lease and icing down dead animal they do the job well enough for the price and no one has stolen one out of my truck or off my hitch hauler when I stop at a Walmart. Great products guys but it's like buying a 1 ton 4WD pickup when you only drive 5 miles a day one way to work in town and never haul anything or get off road. Bring them down to about half the price and I'm in. Other wise I will buy two more igloos when these quit working. I agree. I got a $400 Yetti as a gift....I would rather have had $400 instead. Its too bulky, too heavy, and I'm afraid to leave in the truck bed without a lock. So far, I've never needed ice longer than my igloos can hold it. Yetti has done exceptionally well at marketing though. I'm dumbfounded when I see idiots driving around with a Yetti sticker on the back of their truck! I guess that's the cool thing to do....or they just don't know any better. They should have a "Visa Card" sticker because that is where their money goes. That is when you know that the company is a master at advertising when "coolers" are perceived to be that cool to have these days.

I love my Brute 50 qt. I was concerned it wouldn't be big enough to hold a full deer. Wrong. Just dropped a large 10 point this past week. After quartering it, there was room for several bags of ice in addition to the deer. Also, it was big enough to hold 2 whole 50 pound hogs (with head & legs removed). The drains are great for letting water out when holding game. Can't say enough about it. In fact, I will be buying another one prior to next deer season. But if you like the Yeti's, keep buying them. I need someone to make fun of...oh, and don't forget the $200 Yeti tank. For uber-yuppies, there's nothing better, haha.

A lifetime warranty is only as good as what it covers. Our 5-year warranty extends well beyond just manufacturers defects. If your dog eats your latches or you lose a drain plug, we'll send you one free of charge. We don't sell replacement parts on our website because when you spend this type of money on a cooler, you shouldn't be nickel and dimed for replacement parts. Call us and talk to a real human (not a machine) or shoot us an email and we'll get your parts out the door ASAP at no cost to you. As a small family-run business, we bank on our top tier customer service to compete against the big corporations.

As a small family-run business, we bank on our top tier customer service to compete against the big corporations. IRP/Grizzly Coolers is a privately held family owned business not a "big corporation". There's something else to be considered when looking at a warranty; how long has the company been in business and will they be there for me down the road if I have a problem with my product. IRP has been roto-molding coolers since 1984, using RotoTough construction that beverage companies, stadiums, music venues, and convenience stores have come to depend on. We are also one of the very few premium cooler manufacturers that actually manufacture our products.

Each of you send me one and I'll do a test. I'll be honest, fair and report my findings. You won't get your coolers back though.

Better yet, we'll send you one of every size @Grizzly, I apologize if I came across a little harsh. That wasn't my intent. You guys make a fine product. I was simply saying that a lifetime warranty can be just a marketing ploy if the small print omits anything and everything that could go wrong. You guys may be the exception though.

How on earth are you fitting all that in a 50 qt cooler? Also, did you try putting all that meat in the cooler and *then* driving your jeep over it?

I'll take that deal! I have Yeti Coolers, just because that is what I could get a good deal on. I actually think I would prefer the Grizzly and Brute Coolers. I just wish Brute made larger coolers. I have a Yeti 65, 160, and 250.

I have a grizzly 150, and its hugh, but I love it! I'd like to pick up a smaller one in the future. These things are amazing. I put some frozen venison into it, no ice, drove 5 hours and upon arrival it was still solid as a rock

While I am sure Brute Grizzly and Yeti are fine products, we really like Engel, very durable, very good at keeping ice/frozen goods, and much cheaper than the others... We've had them for a few years and sold them for the last couple, really working well for us and our clients

I can tell you from first hand experience he is correct on the replacement part. I bought a new brute 75qt a couple weeks ago and the ranch dog ate the rope handle off the within the first 10 minutes at the ranch. I emailed the guys at brute and they sent me a new one for free within a couple days. Great customer service and an outstanding product. I would definitely not bash yeti or grizzly but this cooler is awesome and it even costs less than the other two! Thanks again for a great product!

You probably won't buy a Yeti after viewing this well-watched comparison of high-end coolers. That is, unless you goal is more to keep up with the Jones' and the Smiths'.

a little testimony for Grizzly: Monday Dec 31 I put a quartered out buck and 2 10lbs bags of ice in my 60qt Grizzly. Drained a bit of water for a week and added a 1/2 bag I had in my freezer as those bags had melted some. This past Friday, 1/10 I removed the meat and deboned it and grilled the backstraps.
I realize that it was very cold the first week of Jan but still, very impressive!

I have a Yeti 65, 160, and 250. Want another 250? I'll smoke the Brute cooler prices! Heck it even has two drain plugs and is made in the USA contrary to false Brute reporting. I never have understood the need to run down a competitor’s product to try and sell yours. Shows insecurity in your product. Let it speak for itself.
