It has been rainy and everything is just soaking wet. Yesterday I took a couple of Wounded Warriors on a Pheasant hunt. I thought I took everything out to the truck. However, after I drove 2 hours I realized that my boot were well, I did not know. As It turns out; I left them by the curb next to where the truck was parked: My wife took the photo and texted it to me. She thought it was the funniest thing ever... Leaving the boots left for a wet hunt in sandals and socks. The ground was just ridiculously soaked. Here is an idea of how wet it was: So my feet were wet, cold and, wet... Wish I could tell you the hunt went great, but I cannot even do that. When your dog points 50+ times and your hunters kill 4 birds and shoot 3 boxes of shells it is just a lot of walking in the mud with cold wet feet...

That sucks. There is nothing worse than walking miles in wet shoes. Been there done that a lot. Glad they got a few birds.

Sounds like a great time to me, guess I have been cooped up in the office too long. I keep reading about how great it is just to get out with the dogs, enjoy nature and ??

Anyone else halfway travel with most of this stuff in the truck too? It seems I always have some sort of clothes, bullets, bow, etc in the back seat at all times. And I don't even have a lease!

My lease is only 55 miles away, but all my gear stays in the truck,(during hunting season), minus the rifle(and can)

LOL! At least you had your shotgun and ammo. I have actually left my ammo before, as ironic as that is! walked a 1/2 mile of swamp to see the most ducks in my life last tuesday morning, and lost my box of shells on the way... last year we drove 2hrs and buddy left the deekes on the curb... past monday morning, picked a buddy up and we made it about 1hr south, he left his wallet and license in his truck...at least you can hunt with out boots!! lol
