Proud of Nicole. She is being still, quiet and keeping a good eye out constantly. I like it when she hears something she tries to pinpoint where the sound is coming from then looks or glasses the area.

The sun is trying to peak on out. Clouds are fast moving and I think the sun would be our best bet right now in hopes to get the deer up and moving.

Was thinking of getting out of the blind at 11:30, but I think 12 is looking much better! Right now the sun is playing peek a boo with some smaller fast moving clouds.

Still no sign of anything. Gonna wait it out til 12

Another guy hunting here hit a doe with his bow yesterday before dark, but can't find her. Looked last night and this morning to no avail.

Just had a deer walk right up behind us and didn't know we were here til the last minute and took off. Don't know if it was a buck or doe either. Went back towards the wheat field. Startled us. Lol

Thanks Erathkid. Nicole is now hunting over a wheat field where doe are common to see and shooting a 6.5 Creedmoor. Destiny my other daughter is with me in my blind using a crossbow. Just got in here and no deer movement all day so we are hoping for something.

3:05 & no movement yet. Other than the deer earlier that scared the heck out of us.

Oh yeah & it sounds like it is about to start raining hard. Lots of thunder and light rain right now.

Not the biggest, but her first deer none the less.
