Inside and spoiled just like the kids but when it's time to train or hunt she is all business . She is 13 months old and spoiled rotten 75 lb lap dog with over 100 ducks retrieved this season.

Inside, sleeps on the bed, and even gets under the covers at night when it's cold. Yet she will hunt all day long in freezing temps, never quits on a cripple, and will run through a brick wall to get the birds. She's a 3 year old lab, weighs 44 lbs., and retrieves 16 lbs geese. She had 150+ duck/goose retrieves this season.

The best bird dog I ever had ( a Brittany) slept in the bed with me. My current retriever (lab) has rarely ever spent the night outside. It doesn't hurt them at all to be a family dog.

Spoiled arse rotten. She ain't the best dog in the world but she is exactly what I have created. The only thing she likes more than retrieving is eating I haven't picked up a duck for 3 seasons and if anything I wish her drive wasn't quite as high as it is Another guilty if her sleeping in the bed....ugh, should've never started that.

Its good to know that spoiling her should not affect her in the field. Still on the fence but I am sure my wife will win this one.
