Hey Don, we fixing to get busy. I have heard good things about rice bran for deer as an attractant. I have several groups of hunters from louisiana coming back this year, I might ask them to bring some rice bran with them and give it a try. I dont know any place around us that would carry it.I got our oats planted, just need it to rain. Good Luck to you my friend!

Hey Don, The colder weather had my young bucks chasing doe this morning, we got in the blind at 6:15am and my hunter was headed out the gate at 7:15am and headed to Schotts. We need a freeze bad. It looks like your season is going very well my Friend!

Anound here they really started after the does on Sunday. Then yesterday was really good. I went to feed this morning and it was still going on. Yes the season is going very good this year. I have a few more people booked and am not taking any more. Have to save a little seed for next year. I am really surprised at the amount of inquires I have gotten this year. I hope everyone else is doing as good and I hope all that want to hunt get to.

Great Buck Don, I know your hunter was extremely happy!

Thanks John.He was and is happy. Took this nice 9 point. It was still kind of early and I asked if he wanted to go and sit some more. I have a small L.F. place where you see axis once in a while. He said an axis doe or young buck would be good. We headed over there and before we got to the stand a 2 year old buck was standing in the tree line. He made a good shot and he had 2 animals before 8:30 this morning. This is the last Whitetail buck I am taking this year. If anyone else wants a good hunt this year get in touch with John and Cody at BownRods. They will treat you right.

One thing I've notice on the whitetails, does, fawns that were showing stress from the drought ect earlier in Aug, Sept, and Oct. is that with everyone apparently feeding some they have all
shown a marked improvement. I had about 20 of my pets at my feeder in the horse trap yesterday, and four were very small fawns that just lost their spots in Oct., but the doe and spikes
and nubbins are mostly in very good condition and the one large doe I killed first day in Tarpley was quite large and had twins on her..Dons' place should have some really good animals and they
will be in very good condition..Don Dial Pipe Creek
