Congrats! Where were you hunting? I've got family with land in South Central NM. This is the view off the back porch:  Theres another one on our Facebook page and we'll be posting more when I get around to it. Need a tag to go after them as you already know, but it's definitely shed heaven.

Thanks guys. We were hunting private land, unguided. We were in North-Central NM, between Cuba and Dulce.
I've got the police report filed and in the database, so if anyone is dumb enough to try to sell them at a reputable business they should pop up. Guessing they won't go that way though.

Hey TXAg. I just got back from New Mexico myself and took a pretty good 5x5. Saw more elks in the 2 days I hunted than all of the 14 years I hunted public land Colorado. Congratulations. Yours is a nice bull.
