The 12 we had on cam the past 3 years with another 2 years on him. He will be 4 this year and will most likely get shot if we see him.

the 165" plus slick 8 i saw and had at 62 yards opening week of season up in Illinois while hunting with Western Illinois Trophy Outfitters. Or a 190" plus typical 10 or 12 point.

STX, did you get the mount back on that monster 8 point from last year? I think it was an 8, anyway. I know I underestimated the score on that thing by a mile.

Taxi called while I was hunting in Kansas end of Sept and was going to start mounting it then but needed to ask me about what I wanted on the pedestal for it. Should be ready in a couple of weeks I would think.

Yeah I want to see that mount too, that buck was awsome with all the mass. Love the 7x7 also, especially because it is native genetics, and comes from somehwere people dont think big deer can exist.

I have seen several in my life- alive and dead. I have even seen one that was killed in Webb County by a guy LF and then he killed a 8x8 typical the next year! That same ranch I saw an old mount in the ranch office of a buck that was a true 9x9 typical. Only one I have ever seen. Buck was a young buck to boot.

thats pretty cool, never seen a typical more than 7x7 myself.

A guy I know sot a 13 pt, the left side is normal, the right side has alternating tines, the borw is up the g2 is a drop, g3 is up, g4 is a drop, and he tired to put on another on that side, but it wouldnt score.

I've only seen 1 7x7, he was an absolute stud and couldn't get him to leave the preserve during daylight hours.
