Here is a little kicker for the teal lovers and spoonie haters.
The BWT is more closely related to the spoonie than it is to the GWT.

I'll shoot hoodies and ring necks all day... Gotta had something to train the dog with... Once you try to clean one you'll never try it again

The BWT is more closely related to the spoonie than it is to the GWT. Gwt is much better than bwt, but bwt is good too. No comparison to a spoonie, at least the ones in my area. Now have you tried spoonie tongue? Now that is good.

I wonder if ducks where kind of like cattle and different feathers brought more also?

Here is a list of prices for different ducks. You can see by the ones with a higher price which ducks were thought to be the most palatable ... This is amazing considering the average household income working folks made at that time. Killin Piles-O-Cans would make you damn near rich. ...

I like them all if cooked correctly. Now a different question would be which ducks are the most horrible to clean.... I'd say a tie between a hoodie and a ringneck.
OMG, this is the best slumber party ever!

Canvasback is the best eating duck period. At the times of the market hunting they were the most sought after and the most expensive to buy. Followed by teal and mallard.
