Here in South Africa I use Maize / Corn. Pour 50 kg dried corn into a plastic drum. Pour in 20L of hot water a few table spoons of instant yeast. Let it cool to room temp then pour in 3L of cheap beer. Put a sack over the drum and wait while the witches do their work for a few days. You may add sugar or molasses if you please. Once your cauldron is fermenting nicely mix it up with a long ladel. Use as much as required at your feeding spots. Keep topping up your mixture as you dispense coz the fermentation process is already at work.

Corn does work wanders but I believe you have to have hogs just stay in your area, other wise you usually have to keep them with something extra.

IT all depends on the hogs. If they've never been shot at then anything will work. If they've been "wised up" then nothing will. I have killed seven at a time with an m4 benneli and ooo buckshot but these were all around twenty pounds apiece and were more interested in moms tit than corn. An old boar that's survived long enough to get old will more than likely turn tail and split at the first sign of man...that's when I break out the .308 and thermal.
