Getting the blinds ready...

Last day of the year...all Gadwall but it took me less than 10 minutes. Was really slow the week prior and couldn't get anyone to go with me. Could have shot a 3-4 man limit in half an hour. I just sat there and watched em pile in. My favorite solo hunt ever.

Well done and just flat awesome.

This was my favorite from last season because it was the very last time my sweet old fella Cappy ever got to the wetlands before he passed on. "A kiss for 13 wonderful seasons together."

thanks for the comments on the birds guys! There is a lot of awesome hunts posted on here! That hunt everything just fell into place. I walked out to a small grove of cattails with Earl and had the ducks swarm me all morning and I had the marsh to myself. After a great shoot I sat on a stump and watched the marsh work its magic for over an hour while finishing off my thermos with my best bud next to me.

2 man limit in Cali (7 birds a piece) by 7:45. Made it my my 9:00 classes with time to spare. Got 2 triples that day on teal. Kept Luigi (the dog) very busy.

Second most favorite hunt::
4 man limit in Cali, with our handicapped friend that had multiple sclerosis- 14 spoonies, 14 green wing teal. Done at 9 am. We were hoping the teal would win, but it ended up being a bust.

This is a photo of my 13 years old golden Madison on the last day of the season. It is hard to believe, but I think am going to be able to hunt with her again this year.

Teal Season

There's a few posts on here that say 7 or 8 man limits, and then there is only like 20-30 ducks in the picture that I can count. I'm not calling anyone out or doubting the claim, I am just curious on what I'm missing? Great pics!

Two years in a row I've water-swatted a coot on opening day. It's become a tradition for me! After my opening day swat I leave them alone.Too many good days to post, but here's a few I enjoyed.
