Edit that last post to remove Gazelles from Uganda.

I was in the Danakil desert about 4 or 5 years ago looking for Charlie. I have seen spekes or roberts gazelles which are a offshoot of a Grants gazelle in Ethiopia.

I am not 100% sure on what species of Gazelles on in Uganda if any.

Beisa Oryx Texas $6000 http://www.texashuntlodge.com/Beisa_Oryx_hunt_package.asp

Now African prices.
Nyala in Africa 7-10 days at $200-500 per day $1400-5000 plus trophy fee of $2000-3500 this equals $3400-8500 plus air fare of $2000-3000, and trophy shipment and dip/pack of $2000. For a total of $7400-11500. Of course you will shoot extra animals, spend 50 hours flying and probably going to cost you another $1000. So really $8400-12500 for a Nyala.

Excepting the Sitatunga which is available in Botswana, Zambia, Cameroon, CAR, Uganda, and maybe still Mozambique the rest will all be hunted in Tanzania, Uganda or Ethiopia.

Cost for those safaris with all 3 animals (since most are going to require a 14 -21 day safari is about $62,000 for a 14 day and over $80,000 for a 21 day safarin Tanzania. Remembering that the Sitatunga can only be hunted in Western Tanzania and the oryx and gazelles can only be hunted in Masailand.

You could hunt Sitatunga in Uganda on a 10 day hunt for $24000 with no extras, no shipping and not including air fare.

Ya, very well aware of the prices, but I could really save time and $ by just buying the mounts from an estate sale wink There's more value to a hunt than the trophy.

Even if I owned a game ranch in Texas I would still travel to hunt. Trophies mean nothing to me it's all about experiences.

A big mature jet black Sable has been on my list for years...
Looking at the prices for a Sable hunt I'm guessing it will remain a dream only. Later Baker

You can buy ostrich chicks for $50 each. I thought about high fencing a place and putting them on there aft the became young adults but the coyotes are just to bad. I figured most would die.
