I have a question for you guys.... What is your most sought after trophy exotic? Is it the 38" axis, 30" Aoudad, Monster Blackbuck, 400" Red Stag or is it just the most bizarre animal you can find?

I saw some Free Range Ibex on the Northside of I-20 by Cisco Texas across for the far east gate of Greystone Castle.
Then again maybe the just escaped for Greystone. This was 05/17/2012.

That is how a lot of free range exotics happen, get out and run off. During the fires last year there were a lot of exotics got out or fences cut to let them out instead or burning and dieing.

Got all those in the original post with a rifle, pistol, or compound(not 38" axis, but close), now trying to do it again with a recurve.
I'm looking for a 20+ inch free range jap sika or a 30+ inch free range aoudad with my recurve or longbow. Those are the highest on my list.

I know of a ranch with free range not mixed Nubians in SW Texas. Not open to the public but hopefully I will be able to take one in the next year or two.

Txnrog, Grants Gazelle Texas $7500 http://www.777ranch.com/rates.htmlSitatunga Texas $12000 Nyala Texas $10000 Thompson Gazelle Texas $6000 Beisa Oryx Texas $6000 http://www.texashuntlodge.com/Beisa_Oryx_hunt_package.aspNow African prices. Nyala in Africa 7-10 days at $200-500 per day $1400-5000 plus trophy fee of $2000-3500 this equals $3400-8500 plus air fare of $2000-3000, and trophy shipment and dip/pack of $2000. For a total of $7400-11500. Of course you will shoot extra animals, spend 50 hours flying and probably going to cost you another $1000. So really $8400-12500 for a Nyala. Excepting the Sitatunga which is available in Botswana, Zambia, Cameroon, CAR, Uganda, and maybe still Mozambique the rest will all be hunted in Tanzania, Uganda or Ethiopia. Cost for those safaris with all 3 animals (since most are going to require a 14 -21 day safari is about $62,000 for a 14 day and over $80,000 for a 21 day safarin Tanzania. Remembering that the Sitatunga can only be hunted in Western Tanzania and the oryx and gazelles can only be hunted in Masailand. You could hunt Sitatunga in Uganda on a 10 day hunt for $24000 with no extras, no shipping and not including air fare. http://www.sportsmenonfilm.com/pdf/UgandaInfo20122013.pdf
