I have used my 243 mostly bc, like it has already been stated, it's more about accuracy than power. And I'm confident in my 243's accuracy. But I had a big one run off after I shot him. Now I am taking a 300 win mag. If I am halfway decent with shot placement, they shouldn't run far.

220 swift in the neck with a 55 grain Vmax drops them in their tracks. This year I'm going to use a british 303 to hunt deer with. I going to load some special pig rounds for it. I found out that the bullets from a 7.62x54r are .311 diameter which is what my british shoots. The 7.62x54r bullets are steel core fmj. I would really like to get a shot where several pigs are lined up and see how many I can get in one shot.

 The SGL31 has been my pig gun for some time. Most of shots we take in Llano are 100 yards and in so the 7.62 in my experiance is the perfect pig round. A good AK is far more accurate rifle than most shooters shooting prone or free hand. With a red dot its hard to beat. I am in the market for a krinkov SBR for a walk about gun. AR and AKs can get heavy over a 5 mile walk.

I've taken then with ear to neck shots with the .223 50gr vmax from an AR platform, .243, 6mm, and others. But my favorite Hogg gun right now is the 30.06. This all may change pretty soon since I just purchased a vanguard in 257 wby, and a ruger no. 1 in 300 win mag.

17, 22, 6mm, 6.5mm, 308, 300 mag, 45/70, 10mm 45 auto, 44 mag, bow and arrow.....
Even saw one guy with a knife!
I think rocks from a cannon would be cool to!

I use 5.56, 6.8 and 458 Socom. I use the 6.8 the most now, but the 458 realy wacks them hard.

I mostly use my .270 wsm, but I also use my ar a lot too. Have killed them with my little .17hmr from 60 yards out though all about that shot placement!!
