You probably need to ask a herpatologist. What does herpes have to do with snakes? Ask East...

One side note, NEVER put an armadillo in a paper feed bag.

I say cottonmouth after googling and looking at several varieties and patterns along with the triangled shaped head, but what do I know, I live in a place with no water to have water snakes.

The reclusive Chupasnake. They are aggressive because of the risk of being exposed and exploited.

Most researchers agree that they aren't venomous to humans, and they don't bite From http://www.herpnet.net/Iowa-Herpetology/...9&Itemid=26 It is not considered venomous. The snake will not open its mouth to bite, and hognose snake bites originating from defense are rare

Haha, love these threads...
Just so happens I am a herpetologist. That's likely an Eastern (or weird colored western) hognose snake. They are really interesting, they only eat toads and are only venomous to frogs/toads. If you scare them really bad without hurting them they will go through this whole act of dying and stink like hell and flip over. If you hold still long enough they will look to see if you are gone and if you aren't they will start writhing and going through the whole act again!

Looks like the same snake in the topic that bit the 5yr old diamondback yellow bellied watersnake. X2 All the ones that I shot that day kinda looked like rattle snakes without the rattles and were very aggressive. So diamondback water snake sounds good to me, but I am no expert.
